Advertising with Google Adsense

This page is about an easy way to make a little extra money on the Internet. The only thing you need to do is create a website about any subject you like and let Google place advertisements on your site. And then of course, you need lots of visitors.

  • Create a website

You'll also need a place to host your website. Usually, you get some web space along with your Internet connection. If you are a scholar / student, you might have web space via your school / university. Some providers may not allow you to use your web space for commercial purposes. If you want your site to look professional, register a domain name. Google also has free webspace at Google Pages.

      Now, just create an website about something interesting. Keep in mind that the site should actually be interesting to visitors, not only to you. Structure your pages well and add lots of content.

  • Sign up for Google Adsense

      • Next, sign up for Google Adsense:

      After creating your account, you can choose the kinds of advertisements you want on your site and adjust all kinds of settings. Then all you need to do is copy and paste the HTML code onto your site. Google will select which ads are shown, depending on the contents of your site.

  • Make money

      • You get a small amount of money whenever people visit your site and choose to click on any of the advertisements. What you need to do is get lots of people to you website. The only good advice on how to do that is make a good site. If people find your site interesting, they will place links to it, it will get higher rankings in search engines and more people will find it.

      At the end of the month, you get payed by Google, if the amount is high enough. At any time you can check reports on how much you've earned so far.

      Finally, don't expect to get rich fast with this. Just spend a little time to set things up and this will just keep running while you spend your time at your normal job.
